Eighteenth Street Lounge

I love this place. Granted it lives up to its reputation for being a little pretentious, but any place that lends itself to even a slightly international crowd is going to be that way in DC. And you kind of get used to pretentiousness growing up in MoCo.

Whenever I've been (granted not that often), there's a DJ spinning spinning a mix of fun, upbeat international flair (samba, tropicalia) on the second floor and a live jazz band playing on the third floor. Miraculously the sound of either does not leak through the floorboards. The mix of music makes me happy.
