Congressional Blues Fest

I love the Congressional Blues Festival. Every year, a group of blues lobbyists gather together and sponsor an evening of free food, drinks, and blues.

This year, it took place at the South Plaza of the Kennedy Center. The Kennedy Center itself is an architecturally beautiful building, and the South Plaza is a great open space that overlooks the Potomac River. The CBF set up a big tent and had several drink and food stations like in years past. Luckily, the weather was cooperating and it was one of those early Spring evenings where you and your friends just enjoy sitting outside with a drink. We decided to just sit on one of the plant ledges outside on the plaza and relax. And the blues coming from the tent definitely added to the ambiance.
